POWERS—Edward J., Age 84, of Ridge, NY, formerly of Valley Stream, NY, passed on May 23, 2013. Proud WWII Veteran and retiree of the NYC Sanitation Department. Beloved husband of the late Irene. Loving father of Linda (Dan) Gallagher, Michael (Janet), and Ed Jr. (Maria). Cherished grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 5. Dear brother of Joan Curcio and the late George Powers.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church in Smithtown, NY. Interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY.
