WIMMER - Joseph S.,72, of Nissequogue, NY ,on December 20, 2013. Retired Suffolk Detective, They Shall Not Be Forgotten Proud Veteran United States Navy. Beloved husband of Carolyn (Cookie). Loving father of Lori Wimmer. Proud grandfather of Justin Battelli. Dear brother of Judy Calderale, Barbara (Merle) Von Gruben, Debbie Martin, Robby (Mickey) Wimmer and the late George Wimmer. Cousin of Lydia and Frank Giaimo. He is survived by many Cherished nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at Sts. Philip & James RC Church St. James, NY. Interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery.
