Police Investigating Assault Of Three Men In Smithtown

Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad Detectives are investigating the assault of three men that occurred in Smithtown.

Three men were walking on West Main Street when a vehicle stopped at approximately 4:25 a.m. on March 10. Seven males exited the vehicle and attacked the three men with a baseball bat in the parking lot at 264 West Main St. During the assault, one of the three victims gained control of the baseball bat and struck a window of the vehicle, breaking it. The seven males then got back into the vehicle and fled the scene.
The three men were treated for their injuries at local hospitals. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Fourth Squad detectives at (631) 854-8451 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
