Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad Detectives are investigating the assault of three men that occurred in Smithtown.Three men were walking on West Main Street when a vehicle stopped at approximately 4:25 a.m. on March 10. Seven males exited the vehicle and attacked the three men with a baseball bat in the parking lot at 264 West Main St. During the assault, one of the three victims gained control of the baseball bat and struck a window of the vehicle, breaking it. The seven males then got back into the vehicle and fled the scene.
