Happening at The Smithtown Library – Smithtown Building

Art Exhibit- Jessica Abella - Local photographer Jessica Abella has always been intrigued by color, which brought her to experiment with it in photography.  Her exhibit is a color smoke series, including the mixture of different textures and colors.  This exhibit will be on display in the Community Room of the Smithtown Building through December.  The Smithtown Building is located at 1 North Country Road, Smithtown NY 11787.  For more information, please call (631) 360-2480 ext. 235.

Long Island Room Exhibit-Celebrating Women’s History on Long Island - After helping to win the statewide right to vote a year prior, Long Island women cast their first ballots in the local elections of 1918. In celebration of this momentous achievement one hundred years ago, the Long Island Room has assembled materials from its collection to illustrate the many important contributions women have made in shaping the area’s local history. The Scene in Stockholm - Program Description Sweden’s capital is alive with color, history, startling images and quirky stories.
