Suffolk County Water Authority Education Center Open For Tours

SCWA Education Center Now Open For Tours

Tour Times Available by Appointment: Sunday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 24

Join us on Sunday, May 21 or Wednesday, May 24 for the grand opening of the Suffolk County Water Authority Education Center!

Schedule your free tour today to take a closer look at where your water comes from, how it’s tested, and how SCWA delivers to your tap 24/7.

The Education Center is located at 260 Motor Parkway in Hauppauge (just east of Adams Ave.)

Tours are available at noon, 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 on Sunday, May 21 and 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00 on Wednesday, May 24.

“This marks an exciting new chapter in SCWA’s history, as the Education Center will provide our customers with a place to learn more about the work we do every day,” SCWA Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey W. Szabo said. “Educating the public about where their water comes from and how it is delivered to their tap is all part of our mission of making sure we are doing all that we can to protect our sole source aquifer for generations of Long Islanders to come.”

The Suffolk County Water Authority is an independent public-benefit corporation operating under the authority of the Public Authorities Law of the State of New York. Serving approximately 1.2 million Suffolk County residents, the Authority operates without taxing power on a not-for-profit basis.
