Police Arrest Six Local Teenagers For Burglary in Smithtown

Suffolk County Police responded to a 911 call reporting suspicious people on Oakside Road in Smithtown and ended up arresting six people for burglarizing a home. 

The six people arrested were teenagers (16 and 17 years of age) who live in Smithtown, Nesconset and Hauppauge. According to police, after receiving a 911 call they responded to the the area and determined that the teenagers were connected to a burglary that occurred at 6:25 pm on High Gate Drive. Items stolen from the High Gate home included sports memorabilia and electronic equipment. 

The teens were arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree. They were held overnight and were expected to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
