Record-Setting Junior Fishing Tournament

By the end of the day 204 fish had been caught, measured, and released; and six anglers received trophies. 

Winners in the morning session, for children ages 5 -8 were:

Anderson Martinez, 6, first prize for the most fish caught: 12

Brendan Lee-McGraw, 6-1/2, won for catching the largest pan fish [10”]

Veronica Leitner, 5, won for the catching the largest “other” fish: a 14 inch bass.

Winners in the afternoon session, for anglers ages 9-12 were:

Erik Trovitch, 10, first prize for catching the most fish: 17

Gianna Valenti, 9, caught the largest pan fish: 10”

Garrett Warren, 11, caught the largest “other” fish: a 19-1/2” bass

Tourney director Tom Tokosh of Smithtown announced the event a huge success with the most fish, as well as the largest fish, caught in the tournament’s 14 year history.
