Commack-Kings Park Rotary Club
The Rotary’s motto is “service above self”. That is a wonderful way of saying that the Rotary is people from the business community working together to make the world a better place.
Many people think that the Rotary’s efforts are only international. That is far from reality. Members of the Rotary come together to support many projects. Most people know Rotary for its vision of ridding the world of Polio. With the help of millions of people who donated their time and money and Bill Gates who gave the final push a world without Polio will very soon be a reality.
But the Rotary does so much more. In addition to completeing a clean water project for orphans in Myanmar, the Commack - Kings Park Rotary Club has recently held a food drive at Meat Farms in Commack, given dictionaries to students in the Commack - Kings Park school Districts. We have also Recognized students for their work benefitting their community. We held a blood drive at Kings Park HS and held our second food drive at King Kullen’s in Commack. And much more…
Hold the Date - The Commack - Kings Park Rotary Club will be hosting a Wine and Cheese Fundraiser on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 (6:30pm - 8:30pm) at the Administration Building of the Nissequogue River State Park. The fundraiser is the kick off for our planned “Healing Garden” on the grounds of the Nissequogue River State Park. Please plan to join us!
