Free Workforce Readiness Workshop being held this Saturday, Dec. 3, 9am-12pm

Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum presented by NYCB has begun to accept applications for 1,300 jobs. To ensure that Uniondale resident job seekers are well-positioned to land those jobs, a Free Workforce Readiness Workshop is being held on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9 am-12 noon at Van Ness Fire House, 154 Uniondale Ave, Uniondale, NY.

The event will feature professional career coaches from Hofstra University to help attendees refine their interviewing skills, elevator pitches, and resumes. Guided by discussions about the requirements for hiring at the Coliseum, participants will get first-hand knowledge of what the venue management and partners are looking for in the best candidates.

The free event is sponsored by the Greater Uniondale Area Action Coalition, the Uniondale Fire Department, Hofstra’s Center for Civic Engagement, and the Uniondale Chamber of Commerce. No RSVP is required.
